This was a technical project that needed asbestos abatement with a large insulation package installed. Oregon requires a R30 or 5.2 inches of above deck insulation if it’s going to be a heated space. We replaced the dry rot, installed new sheeting over the tongue and groove, applied the insulation, then installed a 60 Mil commercial TPO roofing system on the building. We had challenges managing the crane loads but were able to work closely with the city of Portland to provide a plan that would meet their criteria.
